Two Canadians for St Gallen

Hello All,

Looks as if my wife, our three cats and I will be new SG residents by the beginning of April. Although we've been living in St Louis, MO for almost 3 years, we consider ourselves as being from Toronto.

My wife is a corporate kinda person (her being transfered is the reason for our move) and I'm self-employed (specialized mechanical engineering services).

I've got a few questions that I'll post in other areas of the Forum.

Ciao y'all...

Welcome to the forum!

St Gallen is very nice: named after an Irishman, you know.

If his brother had got there first, it would have been called Diarmuid o' Houlihan.

History's a funny old thing, eh?

Welcome to the forum!

I (and my wife) are also moving to St Gallen next month so maybe we can meet up in the Spring and exchange tips?

Re: Two Canadians for St Gallen

I thank you all for your kind messages

This thing has got me excited! We'll be coming across for a quick visit in a couple of weeks. This is to make sure that everything is well and that we're not allergic to Switzerland . Once that's settled, we'll give the "Okay" to the movers so that we can be there permanently sometime in April.

Two canadiens for St gallen- from one Canadian and an Irishman in St gallen- hope you have found you are not in fact allergic to Switzerland and the move is still on for April. From Vancouver myself. Looking forward to meeting you both soon!

I am also Canadian married to a guy from St. Gallen. We also currently have an apartment near St.Gallen. Would be cool to meet up with other English speakers in the area

Re: Two Canadians for St Gallen

Hi Puhutes,

I am Spanish but living in the UK since 2005. Planning to move to St Gallen around Sept. My boyfriend grew up there. We are having a baby in June.
It would be great to meet up at one point.

Regards!
Marcela
