Re: New Greeks in Zurich

Persefoni or Persephone in english:

is the Queen of the underworld and daughter of the goddess Dimitra (Minerva).

Wife of Hades the King of the underworld who abducted her from her mother. The myth of the rape of Persephone represents the function of seasons.
When she lives with her mother is spring and summer and when with Hades in the underworld, her mother is very sad and it's autumn and winter.
I think she (Persefoni) had a good time with both options!

Ithaka is an island in Greece, home of the mythological hero Odysseus from Odyssey of Homer.

Re: New Greeks in Zurich

Since this topic has become so active, I was just wondering whether there is any store in Zurich selling Mastika?
I do not mind visiting Athenes/Kreta again just to buy the liquir but would really appreciate a cheaper solution

Re: New Greeks in Zurich

Hey guys

I am Greek as well and although I live in Lugano I would love to join any event if it is a Friday or a Saturday. I also have a couple of Greeks here that they would not mind as well.
But way so late, why wait after Easter can we not do a nice dinner at a restaurant earlier?

Re: New Greeks in Zurich

Not really, I travel there at least once a month and I have family here.

I like Zurich though and if I had an excuse to make a nice weekend out of it I would not mind

Hi everyone!

It would be really great to meet some Greek countrymates!

I am in Fribourg, but I can manage to come to another city, like Zurich maybe?

Have a nice evening!

Re: New Greeks in Zurich

Hi everyone.

I've been trying to get a job in Switzerland for quite some time;

I have been turned down more than once because "I am not currently residing in Switzerland" and I also suspect a few more times because I am in my mid 40s.

Would very much appreciate if someone could assist me in getting a job there- I have dealt extensively with
  • Financial Management
  • Operational Optimization
  • Strategy / M&A / Business Development
Thanks
