Welcome to the forum Garry, and welcome to Basel.

As Gumpy said, keep an eye out on the Events Calendar. There's also a Facebook group called "Basel Flouncers" where things get organsised on a more spontaneous basis. (I'd give you a link, but I can't get FB from here. But I guess it should be pretty easy to find in a search).
