I have just moved to Savigny, just outside Lausanne, with my 19 month old toddler and little dog (and husband). We would love to meet up with other families, I am especially keen to find some other toddlers for my little girl to play with, and to meet some other mums.

Also we have a little dog if anybody is keen to meet for walkies. He speaks French, so fits in quite well with the locals.

I however struggle a little with French, but am trying to improve. My husband is even worse, he speaks Del Boy French and my little girl doesn't speak any coherent language yet.

I hope you have found some people to meet up with now.
There are usually mother-meet-up groups in the local language organised by the "Family Advice" centres in most areas in Switzerland. It will help you to find local friends in your area, and to learn the languages, which I know is hard.

Do a search on Muki and your village, or Mutterberatung or Familienzentrum and your village to find when they are on.

We live north of Lausanne, about 10 mins from Savigny and have a little boy of 13 months and a big dog who loves walks.
We're both from the UK and would be happy to meet people from home. We've been here 3 years now, run a business from home and Jamie, my husband, can sympathise with the Del Boy French situation :-)
I'm just trying to get my boy, Alex, used to nursery, but it's not going very well at the moment, as he's a very high need boy and is struggling with separation, so I might postpone the start and focus on getting out about with him more.

We (my husband Peter, son Koen, now 23 months and myself) arrived here in Lausanne nearly a year ago. We live also in Lausanne North (Chailly).

I'd also like to meet other mum's with toddlers and/or (expecting) babys.
We're expecting a second one mid may!

Yes definitely. I'm off Tuesdays and Fridays. Weekends are normally run around with the family time, but am open to that as well.

Uhmm, Koen (my son) is going to daycare 2 days a week, tuesday and friday..... An other day during the week is not possible? If not, let's see if we can arrange something in the weekend!

Sorry I wasn't very quick with my answer... But I'm 37 weeks pregnant at the moment and things go more and more slowly.
The newbaby may be born every day, but this could be like this for an other couple of weeks... If everything is going like it is at the moment, we could arrange something for next monday? Morning or afternoon???
