Recently Moved to Chur area
Hello Everyone

I moved to this area (Chur and around) about 2 months ago for a new job from Cambridge, England. I just discovered this great forum. I am a British citizen and lived most of my life in UK (and 4 years in US) and am of Iranian lineage. I love this country and it’s people and it’s spectacular nature, may be more than I love Cambridge but I miss the social network.

I am divorced with a lovely 10 year old daughter in Cambridge. I fly home every 2-3 weeks to see her on a 3 day weekend. I work as a software engineer and have a background in science and live/work in Chur area. I would welcome to make new friends. I am quite friendly and open minded, like any outdoor activity, including mountain hikes/climbs, movies etc.

Hi Mr Happy and welcome to the forum.

If you like hiking, you'll be much better off here than in the flatlands of East Anglia...my neck of the woods too!

Hope you settle in well and make the most of the area

Chur is so pretty! I just recently went on a visit there, and liked it very much indeed :-)

same here! I just moved to chur about two weeks ago! I love the city and all..for two weeks I did all sorts of stuff including hiking the calanda and bouldering, loved it...but it would be nice to get together with some native speakers once in a while...let me know if any of you guys wants to go for a cold one or somethin, would be fun

Hi Sebi.Lang, Good to hear from you. I am actually in Bonaduz, which is only 15 mins to Chur. I am available this sunday if you or anyone else plans to hike or explore the nature around here. Next weekend I must go to UK to see my little one...

In Chur But at the moment we are also living at the Bodensee because my husband is going here for school. We are back in Chur every weekend and sometimes I am there during the week as well
