I arrived in Switzerland over 20 years ago with mental images of Heidi and toy trains meandering between mountains. Am still here despite never having visited Heidliand and suffering from occasional bouts of feeling somebody has to go me out of here ...immediately.
Wish this forum had been up and running all those years ago when I desperately needed to know the official process of asking someone to say "you" to me or was literally aching to be able to exchange a few words of friendly banter in English.
But the forum's here now, I recently discovered it and think it's fantastic. Love following some of the threads, love discovering there's so many of you out there! Am looking forward to joining in the fray.
Have a nice one (this is what happens to you when you've been here a long time - you begin to Swinglish)
Re: 20 years too late... or better late than never
Welcome to the forum. I've joined not long ago and am hooked, the topics are diverse and that's what makes it so interesting to take part. Have fun! ps. Er zijn nog meer Nederlandstaligen onder ons. (trans: there are other Dutch speakers among us)

Hoi,hi & greetings Roxann,
I know exactly what you mean, and I sure wished this site was around when I was a member of a progressive rock band in Weggis & Luzern being Californian;and I had the same mental images too!
