Hello from Dublin...

Hello L&G !

My name is Lino and it's a pleasure to introduce myself to this Great forum where I got many useful informations and tips (guess in which forum ).

I will start working in Geneva next October for an IT company in Sales. I have been working in the same company (.com EMEA centre in Dublin) for more than 2 years doing the same job as I will in Geneva, supporting same territories (Suisse Romande & Ticino).

Before Dublin I worked in Scotland and England for almost 3 years, it was a fantastic experience working in shows, exhibitions, fairs with two mad guys - an Aussie and a Kiwi - good friends I hope will come visiting me in Geneva soon for some parties

I am very happy for this change, not only for the much better contract but also because I'll be able to see more often my family living in Alba (Italy), 3 1/2 hours from GE, a place that some of you know if you like red wine (Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti, Moscato, ...) and Truffles (let me know if you want some, there's an old good friend of mine who always know where to find them )

Hopefully my Canadian girlfriend will join me soon from Dublin , probably in January, meantime she is attending a French language course , she would like to study there, so, be ready for a thread concerning "Universities in English language"

Sooo, Great ! I did introduce myself, a little long, but...

Re: Hello from Dublin...

Usually only once a year; around this time is best for the pre-harvest village festivals. You must experience the Barolo festival: around 30 growers line up by the town hall and for 5 Euros you can touch the cloth of Bacchus while drinking the nectar of the Gods... and the risotto ain't bad either. A must is also the Truffle Festival in Alba... sweet Jaysus you can smell it from miles around
