Hello everyone!
We are Meiki (22) and Leila (20) and we moved to Switzerland over a year ago but haven't found this forum until recently. Now we want to explore a little bit and maybe even make a few friends.

Meiki is a student at the University of London and currently doing a distant semester in business management here in Basel. I (Leila) am a student at the university of Basel, studying Medienwissenschaft and Linguistics in my 3rd semester.

As of late we have been bunkered in our apartment since we're buried in our exam preparations but we'd still like to have a bit of fun.

We both enjoy watching movies, especially comedy and thrillers and music of various genres. Meiki also makes his own music and has a large interest in body modifications (tattoos). I blog almost everyday and love cooking Thai food since Meiki and I both used to live in Bangkok. One of our common interests is pets! Meiki loves dogs and had 4 of his own before he moved to Basel. I on the other hand have a deep love for cats and I also used to have a lot of them when I still lived in Bangkok.

So much about ourselves, now we'd like to find out about you guys!

Keep an eye on the Events calendar section of the forum, there generally tends to be a bit going on here - although it may get a little quiet over the holidays as some folks head home, I think a few of us are still in town though.

I am Arghya (24) and have moved to Basel around a month ago from India. Even I am looking forward to meeting up with people in the same age group. So a little about me. I am a Ph.D. student at the Friendrich Miescher Institute, Novartis (Maulbeerstrsse, Klienbasel). I am a guy who lives for music mostly Jazz, Indian fusion music, Blues and the Doors. Like outdoor activities and hoping to join some sports at the University. I enjoy travelling which i did a lot back home especially road trips on my bike. Sadly i don't have a motorbike here (too expensive). Like to eat, cook dishes from any part of the world. Can cook some decent lamb and fish recipes from around India. Like drawing and writing free verse poems. Absolutely love discussing anything under the sun with as diverse a group of possible. So looking forward to meet some exciting mentally stimulating people!
