Re: moving to switzerland

Welcome to the Forum.

I think this Basic Information for Newcomers to Switzerland should be added to your reading list.

At a rough guess Geneva is the nearest International Airport to Lausanne but I'm prepared to be corrected if someone comes up with another one.

Re: moving to switzerland

Thanks stewapau,
I hope the three weeks in lausanne were not stressful.how is the housing like. Is it easy for an english speaker to find his/her way around with ease? because my french is not that great.

Re: moving to switzerland

Hi Anna
Housing....incredibly expensive! I can only imagine that there is student accommodation that is priced accordingly...otherwise I hope you are rich lol. It's is a sellers market here and do you just have to accept that compared to other parts of the world, you will not get value for your money .
I'm adjusting to Swiss prices and mentality, but I still find it hurts my common sense lol!!!
To avoid stress I recommend sorting out the paperwork ASAP when you arrive...and drinking beer!

Paul
