Lost

Hey there,
name's Michael, I'm a mad dog and I've been living in Valais for the past few years.

Most simple way to explain how I got where I am is to say that my family kind of got lost in time and space, and now there appears to be a english israeli swizzie bricklayer living down in the forgotten town of Martigny.

I ain't actually very fluent in english, just doin' my humble best jugglin' between home-made globbish and improvised wannabe movie catch phrases.

For the accent, just imagine an Arab speaking Greek with a Chinese accent, and actually understanding it. (just kidding, or not)

So um, I'm kindof a mason, I build these huge concrete chalets hotels up in Verbier, sooooo basically speaking bout my job can't really be interesting, I'll pass on that.

I live by, through and for music, which I jam with friends on guitar and vocals.
I humbly sing pretty well, love playin' REM, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Cat Stevens and many others.
I listen to just about everything, as long as it actually sounds nice (If someone went through the pain of creating a song, it can't be half as bad as it actually sounds ) be it blues, jazz, disco, funk, classical, rap, RnB, hip hop, trip hop, folk, metal, trance, goa, electro and obviously, god bless the UK, Rock and in' Roll!... hrm, yeah, any many other things.

I love movies, Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, the Fountain...) Guy Ritchie (Lock, stock and two smoking barrels / Rocknrolla...), Kubrick etc...

' watch series too, My Name is Earl, Weeds, Breaking Bad, Family Guy, South Park etc...

I write a lot, novels, stories, journals (only in french though!) but not as much as I read, Orwell, Beigbeder, Tolstoï, Murakami, ... (yeah, just about everything too ^^)

I practised some martial arts when I was young(er), now I just enjoy some jogging through the mountains in summer and "peau de phoque" in winter (like skiing, but in the wrong way =D)

I enjoy booze, smoke grass and appreciate the many other little things in life (and in rave parties).

I entered my twenties a few days ago, just got my driving license, am single and am looking forward to meet other nature freaks in my kind (you know what they say about Englishmen and mad dogs, right? )

Peace

Re: Lost

Wow, what an intro. How I wish my "not very fluent in German" was as good as your "not very fluent in English". Looks good enough to me

Talking about Mad dogs, I'm rather looking forward to the 2nd series starting on Sky. After what those 4 poor buggers went through on their last holiday together, I'm surprised they've gone ôn another !!!

Anyway, sidetracking a bit there. Basically, welcome to the EF.
