Hi Everybody,
I can't even count the hours I have spend the last month searching and researching just about everything and anything I needed to find out about on this forum. All of you, you are legends quite often not thanked for! Simple things seem like such an impossible mountain when arriving here, but as we say, you eat the elephant bit by bit.
I have just arrived from Cape Town taking on a new position in Geneva. It all went quite quick, so it will take a couple of more weeks until the rest of the family - hubby, little missy of 1 1/2 years and the family dog Shnuffie - will arrive as well after sorting out the necessary winding up at home.
I am in the lucky position of being provided accomodation by the company until finding my own flat and it looks like we will be signing the contract for a small appartment in old town beginning of next week.
I must admit the first few weeks here have been an absolute whirlwind, but for all those having arrived here years ago, keep on and don't forget how lost you felt in these first weeks and month.
Thank you so much and I promise to share as soon I feel I can make it easier for somebody else.
In the meantime, thanks so much for everybody putting in the effort to support other newbies.
