Hi,

Just to introduce myself a bit....I am Australian Vietnamese married to my French husband in Singapore while working as an Architect. We lived in Singapore for over 10 years and had both of our boys there. Etienne is turning 5 and Edouard is turning 4 this year.

We have been in Nimes, France the last 6 months and about to move to Dubendorf in March. I was wondering if there are any English or French speaking expats living in the area or around so we can meet up for a coffee or playdate for the kids.

Or can anyone tell us a bit about Dubendorf as we have chosen this area to be near to the French school for our boys. And it's not so far for my husband to travel to Zurich for work.

Just to add this English Forum has been a great help to us.

Welcome to the forum. I'm in Dübendorf but don't have any kids for play dates. I'd be willing to answer any questions you have or meet for a coffee. I'm sure once your kids are at school you'll meet loads of French or English speaking people.

We moved to Dübendorf last year. We chose it because it has good connections to Zürich and the accommodation is more affordable. It is also not far from the Glatt shopping center in Wallisellen and the home stores at Dietlikon.

I also like that in a few minutes you can be walking in the countryside. There is also a lake close by (Greifensee) with a great riding and rollerskating path and some nice picnic spots.

My husband is Swiss and we don't have children but I would be happy meet for a coffee once your settled in. If you have any questions in the meantime just ask.
