Hello, I am new here, 2 kids and soon moving to Valais. I was just wondering if any English speaking parents lived around Sion or Martigny. We are currently in the UK, have been here for 8 years, but will be moving back to Switzerland. My eldest son speaks mostly English and I would love to find him some mates and be able to have a chat in English, myself included Please get in touch

I'm not sure about an English community in Martigny but if you head up the valley to le Chable / Verbier you'll find lots of people. When I lived in Verbier it was hard to find anyone who spoke French.

Interestingly Verbier is about the only place that I can speak in French in a resturant & not get a reply in English!
