Soon to be new to Zürich

Hi all,

My name is Paul, and soon I will be relocating to Zürich to look for employment. I worked in Zürich for 14 months on a project from end of 2009 through 2010, and leaving Zürich was not easy since I fell in love with the country and made some good friends there.

I've been a resident of New York City for 16 years, and soon I will be leaving my job and residence in NYC to seek a permanent working and living situation in Zürich. It is a risk on my part, but I feel it is one worth taking. In addition to my US citizenship, I have an Italian passport as well, so my understanding is that I may reside up to 90 days in Switzerland to seek work, and if I don't find anything in that time period, I may move to a German town near the border to buy some more time to seek a job.

I may be asking some questions in the coming weeks, so I just want to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. From what I've read so far, this is a great forum and I'm happy to be a part of it.

Thanks,

Paul G.

Hi Paul and welcome...even though it might be easier for you because of your Italian passport, here is a thread with some useful information.
