Hello, I'm English, 43 years old, female and moved to Switzerland 9 months ago to be with my fiancé who already lived here. I was living in France before hand and in the Netherlands before that! I speak Dutch and French and I really hope to learn German soon, but with my irregular working hours as a call agent for the Belgium and Swiss Lotteries, it is pretty difficult to find the time to get started! Really need to motivate myself!!! I like living in Switzerland as it is totally different from my experiences in England, Holland and France. I have friends at work but would love to meet up with fun loving chatty people in the area. I have just broken my knee (NOT a ski accident!!) so at the moment I'm house bound for the most part but hope to be literally back on my feet very soon! I am looking forward to reading posts on the English Forum and maybe to hear from some of you regulars to the site!!

How do you find living in Elgg?
My wife (German) and I (Canadian) will be moving to Winterthur area this summer/fall and have been intrigued by the possibility of Elgg. We visited last week and found it very nice as a village. How is it, living in a small village while learning German? My German is not that good yet either.
To answer your post, we'd be happy catch up, but of course we're not there yet. We also have a very chatty 3 month old, but that's probably not what you had in mind. :-)
