Hi everyone

Having moved to Zurich around a year ago, this forum has been a great source of information for me for all sorts of things, so first I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to write advice on things like the insurance and permits forums!

I thought it's time to introduce myself so hello! Hopefully I will be able to give a bit back now myself although still a relative newbie here.

Glad you have found the forum helpful. It'll warm up in a month or two so don't worry about the cold. This is a bit exceptional at the moment anyway.

Yes very glad this is a temporary snap. But one of the great things about being here is that things carry on pretty much as normal, whereas London seems like it's the apocolypse!

The cold weather is also an excuse to eat Fondue and Raclette more often...it will keep you warm and you will need the calories! =).
Check the weather forecast and many times during the weekend it is better to go up the mountain to get some sunshine. This way you can survive the harsh winter!
