Hey everyone, the name is Morris

I am looking at moving to Switzerland as i have been once before to Geneva but have always liked this place as a country. My last visit to Sion was nice too.

I am wanting to escape the Welsh valleys to start new somewhere in or around Geneva. I currently work as a call centre manager but this is going nowhere. In my spare time i write and produce dance music and travel a lot doing this in my spare time.

I already know locals that live here but i think it would be helpful to know what troubles other people have had and how easy it is for work etc.

I think what i am looking for is advice on how to set things in motion to move and what places are good to look for work and places to live.

The question is do you want to continue in your current career or change to something different? Whichever it is, you'll probably need to speak at least one of the official languages of Switzerland.

You can't move here unless you're employed by a Swiss company and they have to apply for a permit to allow you to come over to work/live. They can't get that unless they can prove that you have skills that a Swiss worker wouldn't have.

Look on sites like www.jobs.ch and www.jobup.ch to see what sort of positions might be open to you. It will at least give you an idea of whether or not you'd be able to get a job here.
