Not a newcomer, but decided to step up and introduce mysefl
Hello everybody,
I have been lurking the EF for a while and decided it would be better to introduce myself to the crowd. I have landed in Switzerland almost 6 years ago, first in Lugano and now in Zurich, so I am not exactly a newcomer but I still feel very much like an expat. I am looking for new connections here in Zurich and since my German is still non existant I guess this is the best place where to find interesting people with a similar situation! I like reading, watching movies, and bicycling (not the best of weather conditions right now though!). Based in Zurich Wiedikon, so if anybody's up for a beer just leave a shout.

Hello and welcome to the Forum. There's a cafe on Zurlindenstrasse called Kafi Dihei which has British Commonwealth - Swiss owners and a delightful Irish cook; there's always someone in there having a natter in English. Great food too.

Hi Uncle Max,
I know the place, I have been there once, and it's really a lovely atmosphere. Thanks for the suggestion!

Junkie Dolphin (Giovanni), let me know if you want to grab a beer sometime, I am also based in Wiedikon and don't mind a beer (or wine) in the evening (and good company of course!)

Hi Junkie Dolphin,
I am also new here, been living in Zug for almost a year. Still getting myself accustomed to the new surrounding and find that a little tough when it comes to the language barrier although many of then speaks English. I am yet to take up any german courses but have looked at a few schools though..

Hi Giovanni - welcome to the forum! I am pretty new to the forum and Zürich, also based near Wiedikon. Like the others always look forward to a beer or vino and meeting new people! If anyone feels like meeting up just give me shout. D.
