Hello everyone!
I live in Serbia currently, and my land of dreams is Switzerland. I was planing to finish my high school, basic studyes and master here, and do the phd and settle down in switzerland. I love astronomy, that is actualy what i am planing to study, and than, as I said, I'd do the phd in eth. Now, I have many questions, although I was reading a lot about this beautifull country of cheese, chocolate, watches, but hard work too.

First of all - I was reading about doing phd in ETH. Since it was a forum from Serbia, im not so sure info was right, so:
They were talking about 2 ways of doing phd - schoolarships and like a job (regular small salary). Is it true, cuz if it is, I would definitely choose second.

Second - What can astronomer do in Switzerland except teaching? Can I stay on ETH if I finish it right (doing something like researches or even teaching there)?

Third - What are good places to live, that don't cost much, but yet they are close to ETH? What is average cost of a condo or smaller house in Zurich?

About my English, I am still learning it so... Sorry.

There are lots of Serbians in Zurich, maybe you would be better trying to get some information from them in your own language?

I can help you with the accomodation question though - Zurich is very expensive especially in the centre so you may struggle to find something cheap, maybe outside the city is the better option.
