| | | New to Zug!
Hi All
Wow how great is this site! So far you have helped me get a man in a van from Ikea and I was also convinced to live in Zug rather than Zurich. So much useful stuff - will spend many an hour here I am sure!
Look forward to reading more soon!

I would be welcome to help. I've managed to gang together a reasonable group of Expats. This group has been acquired through nights of liver damage at the Pickwick and talking to random people.

Ah, only an English person would say 'drinkies'.
Welcome, welcome, one and all! Check out the Cham lake park when you have time -- it's the absolute bestest in this area. |

Luzern is damn fine. As a newbie I find that new expats are really friendly, and the more time they spend out here, the more Swiss they become in terms of a lack of openness. No critisism, just a statement of culture I have noticed. It is far, far harder to make friends out here than in England. Hence a night out would be a good idea. Us newbies can show the Swiss how we keep the British end up!

As a suggestion, as one member here does not arrive for 4 weeks, Thursday (as Friday is ok for a sore head) 29th November. Starting at one of the quiet bars in the Old Town.

I think JanNewbold is looking at sorting out another meetup in early November...last time we started out in the Blues Bar in the old town, I forget where we ended up, but I know at least one member of the party finished up in Amsterdam.

Been there done that, paid too much for the t-shirt. Best venues: the rooftop bar/lounge of the hotel I was staying in, and the Havanna bar for some spiffing stogies.

Ok Luzern sounds good also. Having spent 4 weekends in a row following England in France, it is time to continue the alcohol abuse my body craves.
