My husband and I moved to Zurich in April. We've found it a little hard to make social connections so thought I would post an introduction on here. A little about us... I'm an American (originally from NC) and my husband, Ruggero, is an Italian (from Modena). We moved here from the U.S. (Pittsburgh) because Ruggero, who works for Google, was offered a 1 year assignment. We have an apartment in Niederdorf. We are pretty low key and are not really into the "scene". If anyone is interested, we'd love to meet some new people.

Great area you are in!

A few of us are going out tonight around that area if you want to meet up, I have close friend couple, also Americans, who are not too into the "scene" as you refer to it, also.

We're a mixed bunch of mainly English and Americans with a few other nationalities to boot with some Italian speakers also for that Italian connection

Kristanez: Thanks for the reply. We have been wanted to check out the western part of Switzerland. I saw Neuchatel in our Swiss travel guide and it looks quite nice. We'll let you know when we visit the area.

Hello, I am new to the country and just moved here a month ago. I would like to meet other friends here to socialise. I am not really into the bar scene. wonder whether there are any gay groups organized by expats? Thank you for any info.
