Long-time lurker, first-time poster - Zug

Morning everyone,

I grew up here in Central Switzerland, and during my time away over the past eight years have been a lurker - using this forum as a bit of a link to home.

I'm 26, Australian by way of Switzerland and the UK, and speak Swiss-German, German, and appalling French. My boyfriend has also swapped London for Zug, and the two of us are adapting to a comparatively quiet life here in Stadt Zug without 24h Tesco, Boots, and decent bacon.

Wishing everyone a sunny weekend, and we're always grateful for recommendations for things to do when it's as nice as this!

Welcome pudding.

It will be interesting to hear your views, as most of us compare our sweet homelands with difficult, strange Switzerland. You can however show us your side of the fence, comparing difficult, strange Switzerland with our sweet homelands!

I only discovered yesterday it is apparently illegal to ski whilst reciting poetry. A difficult, strange place indeed.

Not least for those directly affected by this law, poor oppressed souls.
