Hi Everyone,

Me and my partner have been living in the Zug area now for nearly three years, and having moved to our lovely new apartment in Cham, we have decided that now is a great time to bite the bullet and do what we should have done years ago and start to increase our circle of friends.

Just to tell you a bit about ourselves -
We are both from Essex in England (don't worry neither of us use fake tan and we certainly don't have Vajazzles, although I can't promise we will not use 'innit' and 'shut uuup' at some points! ).
We moved here when my partner was offered a job here and have being enjoying this gorgeous country ever since.

We are hoping to meet some new friends to enjoy the summer and beyond with. Go out for drinks when it's not a 'school night' (or even if it is, if we are feeling extra rebellious! ) and invite people over for some BBQ's.
I am at home during the days when my husband is working or travelling so would also love someone to meet up for coffees, a good gossip and even a little mini adventure every now and then!

A BBQ by the lake sounds like a great way to pass an evening or afternoon or both....might as well enjoy the ball of fire in the sky!

We will be in zug this weekend my kids are Bmx racing if anyone wants to come along and watch the races and have a few beers let me know.

Where do you crazy kids want to meet for this BBQ by the the lake, then? Although sounds like its going to be sweaty this weekend...I pity the BMX lads in their helmets and safety gear.

It is a grill place near the kids playground, near the large footbridge between Zug and the Marina, just before you get to the BMX ramps.

Does anyone know of any others by the lake along that route? There must be a few.

There is a more secluded grill place, at the top of Zugerberg, 10 minutes walk from the Bahnli mountain train, again near the kids playground. Not near the lake though!

Brueggli is a nicer spot to relax with a beer. I didn't know there was a BBQ platz there as well. So this would be my favorite so far.

Don't suppose anyone fancies venturing a little closer to fribourg sometime??

Not entirely sure what you mean by BBQ Platz, but there is no dedicated place where people just bring their meat and grill, we just take our own mini coal BBQ and grill away to our heart's content

You may need to promise hot guys will show up to tempt the pretty girls.

I was thinking of this Sunday. The weather is looking a bit dodgy for Saturday, plus I am shopping (must add beer, sausages to the list!) & going to football with the kids.

So how about this Sunday, 12:30 onwards?

Being a bloke, I was hoping to let the kids run riot for a few hours with their radio control boat in the lake, and spend time with adults, having a beer and possibly getting some tips on automated trading commodity option volatility from Zugger...

BTW, The BBQ platz is a fixed, pre built, public BBQ affair with drinking water.
There are lots all over Switzerland.
