Hi all,

I've joined the forum and can't seem to advertise anything for sale? Anyone else had this problem??

I think you need to have ten posts and/or been a member for 7 days or longer before you can do that.

We ask members to contribute a little with their experiences of life in Switzerland before exploiting the Forum's reach. There are plenty of other sites where people just want to sell stuff. We hope our content is a little more interesting.

Well, first and foremost this is not a free market place. I trust you have read the terms and conditions when you joined? And can we please install an automatic link for ALL new members that tells them what they need to know about putting a sales ad up and everything about private messages?

I'd like to point out (as politely as possible) that this is the second time I have had an English Forum account.

We moved to Zurich in 2008, after spending a year here we moved to gibraltar for 11 months. During this time my original account was blocked! Every time I tried to log in I had an error message saying my IP address was blacklisted - go figure???

So yes I know the rules, I have written on many of the of the posts in the past. It is only now I have joined in a hope that some smart-alec doesn't blacklist my IP-address for no good reason. You know I never did get a reply from English Forum after emailing them goodness knows how many times!!!!!!

That'll've been the bitter Spanish moderator, then. Hope he/she, doesn't pick you up on multi-accounts.

The sad thing is I had the old account for so long, I had contact details from others in my area which are now lost as even now I'm back in Switzerland I still can't log into the original account nor do I get a reply giving me good reason to block my IP-address!!

So annoying!
