Hi everyone!

I joined and catch up with this forum for quite a while before my departure to Lausanne and now I has been here for a week or so. Lausanne and it's surrounding are great and I took some pictures and wrote some blog posts already (well, I'm an employee by day and while not working, I mostly visit places, admiring art/culture/foods/people, taking pictures, and blog about everything). These past days here are part of discovery. I walked around the city, sometimes got lost and once was tricked (yes, tricked. ergh.). But then again, when we discover, things happened. You can even bump to something more interesting as you wander around. Still trying to fit in this place, though. So if anyone of you shared the same interest as I has, kindly share some advises.

Or, is there any Indonesian group out here in Lausanne? Would love to meet up with you guys.

Lausanne is a beautiful city!! i lived there for 2 years and it was great

Ouchy is a very nice area of Lausanne (by the lake). There is a beach in that area which gives u access to the lake for a refreshing swim.

You can easily take a boat and you're in france within 30 minutes. i suggest u visit Evian and Ivoire...cute!!

Enjoy this great city and the view of the Alps (on a clear day!)!

After some times getting around and look few things about the city I realized Lausanne is indeed beautiful. Will look forward to visit surroundings too. Maybe Nadia1981 ' s advise will be a great start. Thanks Nad!

Hi, salam kenal & welcome to Switzerland.
I am Indonesian and I just moved here in Chavornay 10 months ago.
I know some Indonesian living in this area and even one of them is my neighbour . I heard from friend there are more Indonesian living in Lausanne but I didn't meet them yet but I met some Indonesian living in Yverdon.
I go to Lausanne almost every sunday for church so if you want we can meet up sometimes.
