Back in Switzerland

Hi all,
Glad to have found the forum, weird how when you come across anything South African when you aren't in S.A. how you get attracted to it like a fly to honey
A little about myself:
My name is Natalie, am originally from Benoni, Gauteng. I originally moved to Switzerland in 1994. In 2006 hubby and I decided that we wanted to show our kids that there are other ways of doing things and packed up and left for S.A. We enjoyed a wonderful 5 years back home, but as hubby could not get his working permit renewed last year, we decided it was time to come back to Switzerland. So with a heavy heart (I had wanted to go back to S.A. for good!) I moved back here in December 2011. To my surprise I am actually enjoying being back here, I think the 5 year break did me a world of good, I managed to grow my S.A. backbone back and have come to perceive the world around me in a different, more appreciative light.
I can't wait to chat with all of you and look forward to having enriching friendships develop.
Oh, BTW, live in the canton of Berne, between Thun and Interlaken.
Jawellnofine,
Cheers for now
Natalie

That family must have been Fantastic! Joking aside, how long did you work for them? Would be weird if I knew them, what were their names?

Just under a year as they were selling up and I moved back here I first new them in 2007. They left SA about 5.5/6 years ago and the husband and wife were Taylors and her children were called Dalbock.

Nope, name doesn't ring a bell, I guess it shouldn't be that surprising - Benoni as small as it is still has approx. 370 000 people living there, but you always find yourself meeting the same people everywhere, strange how that works hey?

Hope you have a good week.
