The process started what seems like forever ago, but now it's just a little more than 2 weeks till I board the plane for my new life in Switzerland. I will be working in Murten and hope to live in Bern. Looking forward to joining in some of the English Forum activities and appreciate the info you all provide. I am coming from Arkansas by way of TX and Chicago and hope that my slight southern twang won't get in the way of learning a new language and being understood.

I'm so excited, but will have to keep it together at work for a few more weeks. Although sleeping for an extended amount of time on my blow up bed may be difficult.

Yep and I'm from Okie, another neighbour. Spent quite a few holidays down at Galveston when I was a kid as well as in Arkansas and Missouri.

Congrats to you, albeit a bit unnerving to see those movers drive away! I've been here only a few months and must say the EF is quite helpful so check in frequently! Its exciting and scary all at once but you'll be surprised how quickly you get the hang of your new life. All the best!
