Hi I am new here in Basel from New Jersey. I am married with a 2 year old. Still a little nervous but making my way so far. I am a stay at mom and thinking that it may be hard to work here with kids. Looking for some play dates for my little girl.

There are women of all ages.

They also do a really groovy Thanksgiving dinner!!

Hi Kellyd! Just came across this post and thought I would introduce myself since I'm also from NJ and married with a 2 year old (boy - actually about 2 1/2). We are actually only here for a short time (my wife and son are here until January - I'm here through February). If you guys are ever about to go crazy and in need of a play date let us know.

Hi Kelly, just came across this post. We're an Irish/English family and just arrived in Basel at the start of December. I have a 4 year old boy and a nearly 3 year old little girl. We're currently living in Klein Basel while looking for more permanent accommodation.
Have you managed to settle in and meet other mum/dads with children. I too really want to find some little friends for my two kids.
If you have any recommendations on e.g. playgroups then I would appreciate that.
