Welsh moving to Zug

Morning all from a very wet and miserable London

I am Welsh but lived in London for many years - now making the leap to Zug. I am quite a social bunny and like to have fun (trying to find a Welshie who doesnt could be challenging!) and right now I know no one. Want to change that, as do most on here it would seem.

Moving just in time for Ski season and looking forward to making the most of that - want to join me?

Chat soon I hope,
Sian

Re: Welsh moving to Zug

Hello, Sian.

I just moved to Baar in October from New Orleans.

I haven't really met too many people here outside grad school, so hopefully I'll get a chance to attend a get together in Zug this Thursday evening being put together by cornellcmr31 (see Zug Happy Hour ).

How was the happy hour?

Unfortunately, I missed it.

What brought you from N.O. to Baar?

Re: Welsh moving to Zug

Didn't mean to leave you hanging, Holliday.

There were only a few guys when I showed up, and I had to leave early for a going-away bar thing for a classmate who was going back to Montreal, but from what I hear there should be another get together in January when everyone is back from the holidays.

I'm just a poor humble student who came to Zurich for a quant finance program, and had trouble finding a room when I got here, so I took the best offer I could get in Baar. It's a little longer of a commute than I would have hoped, but other than that, it's actually worked out quite well, so I really can't complain.

I've been working on a huge project the last couple of weeks, so I kinda fell off the face of the earth for a while, but I think I should be able to survive the last two weeks of lectures okay, and then it'll be time to just prepare for January exams.
