From Dub to Züri

Hiya alltogether,

After living in Dublin for the last 4,5 years I thought it was time for a change and decided to move to Switzerland in order to be closer to my native Germany...but still a bit special as still living and working abroad

I work as an Accountant in SwissRe now and am very happy with my choice. Apart from that I had a big down already (report to follow ) but start to enjoy and like my new surrounding. The annoying things I am left with are looking for a permanent apartment and all the necessary administrative requirements.

I also want to use that chance in order to thank all those active people in this forum which I find is one of the best sources to find information in relation to working and living in Zürich / Switzerland!!

Am looking forward to meet the one or other of you during a future event. Cheers and talk soon,
Simone.

Re: From Dub to Züri

Big change indeed!!!!

..plus, I have to say that I am impressed about anybody who comes over here without any German. As announced already - my story will follow soon (have to go and see and appartment tonight...but I will post it soon..promised..you will like it )...and it would have ended in a massive rip off if I could not have argued with the parties involved in German!!

Oh well, what does not kill you makes you hard. Have a good night....

Re: From Dub to Züri

Hi Simone,

Welcome to the Forum. I moved from Dublin in July and despite a few bumps along the way (like you from the sound of your previous post), I feel it was a good decision.

Claire
