| | | Hi from English/Russian speaking girl in Biel
Hello Everyone,
I am 24 years old, Ukrainian/Latvian girl who's been living in Brighton, England for the last 7 years.
I've been living in Switzerland (Biel) for almost 3 weeks now. I am not new to the country as have been traveling here once a month to see my bf.
However, it is pretty different coming here for the weekend and actually living here!
Currently, I am actively searching for an English speaking job and attending German lessons. Also, thinking of doing masters here next year, so also looking for the right course/uni.
I am very social person and would love to meet some new people here!
I speak Russian and English and hopefully one day will speak German.

Hello EE!
How long have you been here and how are you finding it here?
Thanks!
Hi Niamhie!
Thanks, I actually love skiing Just need to earn some francs to afford a ski pass first, lol
So I take it, you have been here more than year.. Are you also living in Biel, if so, are there any socials taking place?
Hey Nadine!
That's great, I would love to. I have a lot of free time time these days, so just let me know whenever you are free and we can arrange a meeting

Hya Niamhie
well my guess is either one of the Branning Bros Jack and Max are both known womanizers with a black belt in cheating
Derek is the one with obviously enough funds to finance a love nest and other expensive stuff...tho' i could kiss a guy like him only blindfolded, nevermind bedding him.....eeuurrggghhh
The storyline about Lola and Lexi interests me more and as we are speaking of kids that return.....i am pretty certain that the storyline around Cora and the girl she gave up ...will lead to that Ava Hartmann coming to the square...
we'll see.....I got to say EE has lost alot of grip and the storylines are repetitive and often boring if not predictable oh and another thing... Melissa Suffield was a much better impersonation of Lucy than the current actress Hetty Bywather...Melissa even looked a lot like Cindy !

Hello again Ilga
Actually I am Swiss and live in Biel for over 20 years now,and i quite like it here, I am a kind of shoehorn to expats and have been over more than a decade
As for stuff going on here..check the last page of the free newspaper Biel/Bienne ...there you'll find a list of all kinds of stuff going on here...from cinema to exhibition...concerts...clubs and events etc etc
as for skiing...we are lucky enough to have a small-ish ski resort in our reach ...up in Les Pres d'Orvin...it's reachable by bus from the Biel main station ,day and half day tickets are very cheap and the slopes are easy for beginners.

EE | | | | | The Lexi story line made me cry when she was taken away. The actress who plays lola did a great job!
As for Kat! Its just annoying at this stage. i mean it must be Derek but honestly... WHO CARES . . its not like a murder plot! Im sure it will all come out at Xmas and one of those 3 characters fecks off! I hope all 3 go! Or Alfie to stay.... but .... still be a happy chappy!
One of my favourite story lines was Phil taking Herion. . . Only because he was so funny! When he is back on the drink he is funny too!
I agree the story lines are gone crazy. . . I drift in and out of it now, where as once upon a time i wouldnt dare miss it!

She doesn't mention whether she speaks Latvian, so she is probably part of the Slavic minority with a Latvian passport for non-citizens I guess.

I think Ilga, he's trying to refer to the possibility that you are a Latvian resident with a "Nepilsona Pas" rather than a normal Pas. However I guess you wouldn't have said Latvian if this was the case
Hope you enjoy the independence celebrations....I guess there'll be some singing!
And welcome to CH. Biel/Bienne is the only officially bilingual large city |

Thanks, am not really into that legal things.. yet..
Basically, I got Latvian name and nationality cos my dad is from there, however most of my life I lived in Ukraine, so I tried to avoid mentioning the nationally and state where I have lived instead.
I like Biel but have to learn at least one language people can understand me with | | This user would like to thank ilga for this useful post: | |

Hello Ilga, how did the meetup in Bern go on Friday evening? I hope you all had a good time, I had a vernisage in Fribourg and so I was already booked up.
