I would like to find a job in Zurich and settle down there. I'm actually at the very begining of initial planning, but I still wanted to say hello, as I have been reading the discussions here for a while.

I'm 29 years old and I work for a multinational in Turkey. My husband is planning a new carreer path in Zurich. If he manages to do that, I'm coming with him! Of course, if I could find a satisfying job there too.

There is plenty of information here! I've already learned so much about daily life, living costs, etc. thank you all for that! I hope I learn everything, get a decent job, move to there and become one of you eventually

As you say you have gone through the site and know many things...i hope you know you can't work on dependent visa. You may want to gather information on how you can start working..

Thanks. I know that a visa is not the same thing as a work permit. Actually, I was hoping that if I could find a job first, then I could also obtain a work permit. I understand that this is theoretically possible. Not so easy though as most of the employers are not willing to hire someone without a work permit.

Anyways, where abouts in Turkey you coming from? I'm assuming Istanbul, as that's where the majority of the multinationals are.

Yes, I'm in Istanbul. That's correct, most of multinationals have their Turkey offices in Istanbul.
