New Brit in Basel

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum...

I am 30 years old and from the UK originally. I have just finished a 2 and a half year stint in Hyderabad in India and whilst I loved India I am really looking forward to this move to Switzerland!

I look forward to getting to know some of you more and thanks for all the helpful hints and tips this site has already provided.

Re: New Brit in Basel

Hi and welcome!
I am a 29 year old kiwi and have been in Basel for a year now (& am still settling in!). I have a lot of Swiss friends through my husband, but not so many from other places (which I miss!!!) - would be great to meet for a drink, I have not been to one of the organised events on this forum yet (life has been BUSY) but I was thinking about attending one of those at some stage also
Sarah.

Hey there Sooze -
Sounds like we are in similar straits! I just moved to the area (well, across the border in Mulhouse) two weeks ago and I am a 35 year old American/Canadian historian who is also looking to explore Basel and the area. If you or Sarah would like to grab a drink, just let me know!

Almost forgot my name - it's Tim!

Re: New Brit in Basel

Hi Sooze
Welcome to Basel! I'm sure you'll enjoy it here. I've been here over a year now, and the time has gone very quickly - I still feel like a newbie.
I would be up for a drink sometime, and I can try to share some experiences, such as they are so far ...

Hi SoozeP, welcome to Basel! I have been here for just over 18months now and don't know where the time has gone! I also plan to socialise a bit more this year to meet new people and come to some organised events.
Where are you originally from in the UK?
All the best for settling into life in Basel! :-)
Alison
