New in Birr

Hello to all,

my name is Misael. My wife and I just moved to Birr on November because my job. We are both mexican and we are doing our best to fit in this new culture. We have all the support from the company, that makes easier the transition, but of course, we are in a continuous learning of our new home.

Have a nice afternoon.
Regards.

Re: New in Birr

Hi and welcome to the English Forum,
I`m working in Birr, so I guess we may well be working for the same large employer there.
Hope to see you around!

Re: New in Birr

Hello, I am also new to Birr. We live on Pestalozzist (?) right now temporarily. I'm a stay home mom, and my husband works in another village.

Re: New in Birr

Hello,

sorry for not answer before. We were on holidays abroad. I realized that the zone of Birr-Lupfig have more activities during the day that I thought, I reccomed to go to the gemeindehouse and get some information. Sometimes you also could receive it in the post.

I work in Alstom, and my wife has most of her activities in Baden, but we also will try to be in some activities in Birr. What are your hobbies? Maybe you could find something interesting.

Have a nice day!

Re: New in Birr

Hello Misael, thanks for the response.

I actually live almost right next to the Gemaindehouse! But I since I can't read German, I didn't even care to go there to get information... LOL. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll try next time I walk by, which is very often.

I also spend some time in Baden, and in Brugg. I found English speaking mom's meetups (do you know the website, Meetup.com?) in Baden area, so I go there often now.

My hobbies are... well, I feel like I forgot all of my hobbies since the kids were born! I generally like any cultural events.

Maybe we can meet up when there is something interesting next time!
