Grüezi!

Grüezi in a snowy afternoon!

Woo... where do I start? I am from South Korea, and also lived in US and UK. I live in Eglisau now, a little town between Zürich and Schaffhausen.

I LOVE hiking and cheese so it seems I am well fitting into this country but the language barrier is just a big burden.

I would love to make friends here and learn about many things since I`m starting up all again in a new country.

Stay warm! Ciao ciao!

Re: Grüezi!

Grüezi and welcome to our zoo.

Eglisau is a very pretty town and fantastic for walks along the Rhine, especially during fall.

Check out some of the posts that include subjects you're interested in, there are also events posted (check under the tab heading at the top of the main page).

One of my friend's wife is from Pusan, so you're not alone here.

Welcome and all the best of success here in CH. I found the highlighted portion of your introduction quite funny...

Re: Grüezi!

Welcome!
Hope you love Switzerland as much as I do! I have been here six years now and have tried to learn German on my own from books, internet, recordings, newspapers etc. Even a little helps, try to learn the language, and enjoy!

Re: Grüezi!

Ha! It IS funny as re-reading it. I thought the same when expats in Korea said their love for Bulgogi and Kimchi made things easier.

Re: Grüezi!

Welcome to the EF. We might not have sought after amount of free fondue here but we can offer unlimited amount of free beer instead and similar drivel ...
