Hello and Happy New Year!
My wife, 6 month old daughter and I, are about to move to Vaud for a 3 year Ex-Pat assignment. We currently live in Wimbledon, in the UK and are looking to live in or around Vevey.

Though we are all British, I am, by a technicality, also a Swiss national (which I gained through having a Swiss mother), but I have never lived in Switzerland before, and regretfully do not speak very much French.

I have found this site extremely useful as we prepare for our arrival in Switzerland in February / March, I thought it was about time I joined in with it.

Nice, Vaud is cool if you know how to speak french otherwise it gets a bit complicated because, from what I've seen there aren't many people here talking english ( which is wrong).
Anyway, enjoy your staying

Having been a resident of Wimbledon, and having spent a week or so around Vevey and Montreux, I know which I would choose: Vevey every time, not that there is anything particularly wrong with Wimbledon.
