Re: New to Zug

I guess Kati wanna see some swiss culture, now it's a good time to get in touch with it. I recommend you go to Lucerne this Monday or Tuesday night it's Fasnacht, kind of carnival. It gives you a good impression of the 5th season and it's a good occasion to meet new people on the street or in bars whatever.
You do not speak any german, no worries a lot of expats join the fasnacht and most people on the street speak english.

Have fun

Andy

P.S.

Hi Kati,
As andy said, the Fasnacht week in Luzern is a great chance to enjoy the Swiss culture. Tomorrow there is the Monstercorso, a large parade of music bands. Some of us are going to watch it next to the Schweizerhof Hotel. If you want to join us, jus drop me a PM.

Enjoy your stay!!

Re: New to Zug

There are a lot of expats in Zug, so you should be able to find courses/groups in a variety of different areas of interests that are in English. I found a significant amount by googling zug + english + my interests.

I hope this helps, I realize it's a bit vague

This is the case of someone who is thinking of moving to Zug so they do not have a local Gemeinde yet. Which Gemeindes would be best to contact for English speakers? Which have the biggest concentration of expats living in their area in Canton Zug? Thanks

Hard to say, at a guess i would think Baar followed by Walchwil, Cham.
