Filipina-American Living in Solothurn

Hi All!

I moved to Switzerland (Solothurn) six months ago with my German husband. Although he speaks German fluently, I am still learning and currently taking a B1 level course in Bern.

We enjoy traveling and the outdoors very much, so if there are any traveling, hiking, cycling, camping, snowboarding/skiing, etc. groups out there, we will start looking into their activities. My husband plays badminton (not a real popular sport), but he is hoping to be able to find a club in the area.

I have not been able to find any German conversation groups or courses in or around Solothurn, but that interests me as well. I am pretty good at reading and writing/grammar, but listening and speaking are much harder for me and I always have to think before I speak, so I have to improve those areas.

Thanks.

gmd

Re: Filipina-American Living in Solothurn

Hi everyone,

I know this post is a bit old, but I moved to Canton Solothurn 5 months ago. I would love to meet other English-speakers as we are living in a very 'non-expat' suburb!!

I work full-time at the moment but will be stopping in approximately June or July due to the imminent arrival of twins!

If anyone wants to catch up please get in touch!

Sam.
