And here I live in Basel :)

Hi guys,

I arrived in Aesch (BL) a few months ago to join my boyfriend who's Swiss German.

I lived in London for a while and I was planning on staying there if it wasn't for him. It's actually not my first time in Switzerland, I already spent 6 months last year and I pretty enjoyed it.

Switzerland is a beautiful country with disciplined and respectful people, from what I have experienced so far.
At the moment I am looking for jobs in the BL area, in Reg CMC (I'm a postgraduate Pharmacist and Chemist).

I'm a beginner in German but I would very much like to improve.

I just started Ballet in Dreispitz and I look forward to find a job and start the real life in Switzerland.

I'd be happy to meet other English-speaking people.

Have a great day.

Lily

Re: And here I live in Basel :)

Hi I live in UK and planning to move to Basel in August. I would like to move to Aesch (BL). How good it is connected to Basel centre? I don't have a car and planning to take a two bed room apartment. I am not sure whether you can get a furnished one?

Re: And here I live in Basel :)

Hi,

I just arrived and I didn't have to go through the search of an apartment so I cannot answer that question.

Regarding the transports, Aesch possesses quite a good connection to Basel.
You can find the travelling informations and maps on this website:
http://www.bvb.ch/en/news/current-info

I personnally live along the tramway line 11, with 25 minutes connection to Basel SBB (train station).

Otherwise the Dornach-Arlesheim train station joins Basel SBB in 10 minutes every 30 minutes. The informations can be found there:
http://www.sbb.ch/en/station-service...ity-basel.html

I hope it'll help you.
If there's something to know about Swiss transport, they are on time with accurate timetables.

Good luck.

The No.11 Tram brings you nearly from the heart of Aesch to the heart of Basel!

Its a great connection. Trams run ever 8 minutes on a normal day! Really you couldnt ask for more!

Lily, welcome to Basel and Tush hopefully we will welcome you very soon!
