New to Zurich, this April / May!

Hi Everyone,

My husband will begin a research position at E.T.H. this Spring, and we are looking forward to relocating to the lovely Zurich with our fluffy cat.
Yep, that fluffy thing featured in my avatar!
(We are currently in New Jersey, USA.)

Personally, I enjoy crafting - knit, crochet, sew, and sometimes paint.
Oh, and cooking too, definitely.
By the way, I am now a proud member of Stitch N Bitch Zurich!
If you happen to be a SNB member, I look forward to meeting you in person.

Just thought I should drop my first introductory post here, and I hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome to Zurich and to this forum. As far as the forum is concerned, you've come to the right place. These people, or at least most of them, know what they're talking about and they are a lot of help when relocating. A big thanks to all of them (I just needed to say that cause I have been out of touch for quite some time but cannot deny their valued assitance)
As for Zurich, I would say everyone experiences differently. I've been here for the last 10 months and I have loved every day of it. Hope yours will be as good...or even better

Hi Tortillaloaves,

I am arriving in Zurich later this month, so hopefully our paths will cross. My partner started work out there in January, so I have had a couple of swift trips and it will be exciting to expore the city and meet new people. Stitch and Bitch sounds fantastic - I studied Crafts at University and did all my visual research as embroidery, so would love to know more and will explore SnB on the internet now.

Hi, tortillaloaves--

I'm starting a research position at ETH Zurich in May, and I also love to knit and cook (though not necessarily at the same time).

Would be good to maybe get some SnB meetups going in the area...

Oh, and we're also bringing our two cats with us, one of which you can see above.
