Hello from Wollerau

Hi,

We hv recently moved to CH, after having lived in London for 7 years and Singapore for 3 years before. My husband and I are Indian while our 4 year old son considers himself British.

The forum has lots of useful info, hope to share some insights on the Canton Schwyz/Wollerau/Pfaffikon area.

-Dutch

welcome to Switzerland. I assume hv means "have" but you're posting from your mobile phone?

Important question: who does your son support?

Hi Dutch,

I have juse joined the Forum today and have seen your post in 2006 when you first arrived in Switzerland. Hope you settled in well and are enjoying life.

I see that you live in Wollerau and wondered whether you would have a moment or two to tell me about life there. We (my husband and two boys aged 12 and 10) are thinking of moving there. We currently live on the other side of the Lake, but have been unable to find a nice house to buy. However, we've seen a nice place in Wollerau and have to make up our minds fairly quickly whether to go for it or not.

Are you happy there? Are you involved in the Swiss community at all or more the expats? Any info you can give me would be most appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, quite a lot of expats also live in the area. The swiss community are also very friendly and most of them speak english or at least understand it. Its a very residential area. We (my husband and two kids, 6yrs old and 16months old) love it here. Not to mention the tax.
Anything you want to know in particular please feel free to ask.
