My husband works for Terex Corporation.
Interesting to see that in the past two decades or three, international Investors have flocked to SH, which before, for a century or more was perceived as being on the wrong side of the river

Ok just wondered as unilever have relocated lots of Americans and have a partners network with activities etc..... Perhaps your husbands company gave something similar

But Unilever is NOT a US company but of course a Dutch-British Enterprise. Looks as if they downgraded one of their US facilities and took good employees over to Europe

Here a good list of good restaurants

But one of the best is just a road away from the rail-Station the RESTAURANT FALKEN (connected to the Falken Brewery)

Nobody said Unilever WAS a US company but rather an international company who has bases in the US and employs US personnel.
and unless you actually work for Unilever how can you possibly know anything about their reason for bringing US personnel over here ??

Re: New to Schaffhausen

Hello all, my name is Natalie and I am also moving to Schaffhausen this July with my husband for work. We are Canadian and excited to meet some fellow expats and discover Switzerland. We are 29 and 33, working in finance and advertising, and enjoy skiing, hiking and other outdoorsy activities. Message me if you are in the area.

Hi Natalie
We've now been here , just over the river in Flurlingen, for nearly a year and love it! If you need anything-advice, coffee, just message me. Love Lotte

My relatives in Texas are REAL Texans, but NOT "nobody" and on my first visit proudly claimed that
Unilever
Royal Dutch Shell
BP
Total
Nestle
were US companies, and were shocked when I clearly refused that outbreak of Lone Star State glory and wisdom and they were NOT joking, not at all.
