new irish man!

hey,

name is andrew and moving to zurich on 26april.

will be working in dubendorf, at empa as a post doc scientist,, and cant wait to meet some people.

I am 28, irish, love most sport, music, poker, gigs, parties, skiing, travelling, surfing, mountain biking, techno, rock, economics, politics, cooking, fine restaraunts, sushi, the countryside,. like the hustle bustle and choice the cities offer, and like access to views and countryside. love movies, and food markets.
like regaae, rave, rock, jazz, classical and basically all music especially live.

love art, architecture and history, and chatting about said things over a few quiet drinks.

love to entertain, havre dinner parties, and meet imaginative and creative individuals

am looking for place to live preferable to share at first with students,, or young at heart fun folk. hopefully can build a group of friends away from work.

am looking for apartment that might have shared gym complex, if they are not too expensive, and preferably an en suite room? I am very clean, and wou;ld love if the place had a jacuzzi. am i living in drea world? close access to good markets, asian stores etc or supermarkets
would be a huge advantage. heard there is a red light district, that is queit multicultural...is this safe and nice and a good choice?

how much is this going to cost?

would love to meet sporty, easy going folk, of any nationality, especially keen to move into a house, with big group of multinational multilingual people for a few months

great site, great advice, and will appreciate all help.

keep up the good work lads.

Re: new irish man!

So, to summarise: you want an ensuite room in the redlight district with a gym. For how many hours will Sir require the room ?

"How much is this going to cost?", Well you are really buying into a lifestyle here Sir , and it's difficult to put a figure on it without know the extent of extra services that Sir requires.

Re: new irish man!

if the brandy is good, I anticipate Sir shall make that a cool two to three months, if you will

but seriously,

any district is good, but id prefer to be either close to work, or a multicultural easy going area....hence the red light district suggestion

Re: new irish man!

Given your description you need to be in a party area of town. Near the university on the hill (what is that area called ??) I would recommend or as you mention in the Langstrasse, Limmatplatz area. Both are good for what you are looking...

not necessarilly a mad partier, just easy going bohemian, kind of like a 60's bum with a good job and sophisticated habits...who prefers bums as neighbours
