New from Greece to Baden

Hello All,

Just moved from Athens/Greece to Baden. I am male in my early forties, looking to meet new people and since I enjoy mountain hiking and photography, I believe I am in the right place to live.

Many thanks to all for sharing resources and knowledge to all of us newcomers.

Regards

You moved from the REAL Athens to the LIMMAT ATHEN. Hope that all the Greeks right now moving UP realize that the weather here is much worse

No how can they realise. I mean who would have thought that moving NORTH in the land of the alps would be colder than greece....

Btw depending where you live in greece it can get quite cold. Compared to my town im greece i find the cold here more bearable, as it is drier and not as windy.

To the OP: you'll be fine! Welcome!

Are you from Thessaloniki, or some other city of Macedonia;

I liked the weather of Swis because of its clean-fresh-mountain air

In Greece some times hot is very heavy, cold is better than hot.

By the way have a nice stay to Switzerland my friend. I hope somewhen i ll be there too

Another Greek...

I am not opposed to Greeks coming over to Switzerland. I just hope that the last one leaving DOES Switch off the lights

Well, the first time I visited Athens the weather was glorious but exceedingly cold. I bought extra-warm handkerchiefs and the warmest pullover I ever got. And the temperatures on the Akropolis were as in St. Moritz. I btw. found Athens on three or four visits to be a splendid City ,,,, and hope your folks manage to muddle through

When I visited Athens for the first time it was in December and it was sunny and relatively warm so I could wear a jacket! Visited Aegina...it was a very pleasant trip. Needless to say that I quite enjoyed it.
On the other hand, when my colleagues from Athens came in visit we took them to the mountains for a short trip and they were close to having hypothermia...

OP, welcome to the forum!

OP, welcome to the forum!

The weather can be strange. I remember a Holiday trip which lead to Budapest, Athens, Cairo (and then the Arabian Gulf).. The temperature was extremely high in Budapest but quite normal in Athens and Cairo
