Italian old mama moving to Yverdon

Second time I write this post, as I'm not enough acquainted with the software... and the site ate it up. Bon apétit.

Moving to Yverdon, new lands. Grown up here, half italian, went to Venice, to Holland, was here in CH, quite everywhere, all two years somewhere else. What can I write, what not already said in my eaten-up-post..

My friends, not so many, speak mostly other languages, than native german. I noticed some differences in my personal capabilities of making acquantacies from town to town. (Plz do not mind my miserable English. It's a shame and I am not ashamed)

Before Chur I was in Basle and I did not enjoy it that much. Maybe I'm too superficial, and maybe I do not want to change it. I love to have chitchats anywhere, to make stupid remarks about pumkins and blossom. Someone told me, that Basle and Geneva seemed quite the same, something cool and exclusive, because of the nearness to the border. What do I know. I verify to have more friends in one place and less in another. The smiles I get here in Chur are by all means many times more, than I got and could give back before.

In Yverdon People smile. What a relief.
For some three month I'll rent a room with a supernice talkative lady, some little over my overage age. She is beautiful and loves cooking, as well, as a good chat. I just adore her. It will make a home to my complicated life, it will give a warm ground for my quite challenging new job. Just add some basil and thyme and life gets easier.

That's all. CU in the forum, where I'll get a bore with well-meant advices and so on...

Josi

oh, I'm sure I will, thanks a lot! I'm really looking forward to it. I went there last Saturday and just buying some matches was quite fun. I still wonderwonder, why the valleys in Switzerland are so deep.. there seem to be so different genealogies.. I cannot understand, just notice.

Thanks Geneva Sculler!

Re: Italian old mama moving to Yverdon

It seems like you have a very interesting perspective on things - chitchats about everything and nothing must be a lot of fun

I guess the valleys are steep-sided due to the plentiful water running down them as the snow melts in spring/summer, but I will await the input of someone who didn't give up geography at 15 to provide more insight...

Thank you so much Odile! I'll live up the hill nearby Yverdon with a lovely landlady and looking forward to it. How nice, to be a grandma, too. I love family.

Hello Angela and thank you. Neuchatel, I'll visit it, I guess. Last time I was there was felt 100 years ago, in another life.. Love the lake.
