I am really wondering why livinginswiss groaned Meerkat33 for the reply.
I would be grateful for any explanations as I truly don't know why...
I trust Meerkat33 had only good intentions explaining how the things really look like.

Welcome, from etiopia I think you need a visa also for a short stay 90 days visa, and probably a declaration of sponsorship if you don't have enough funds (100 CHF per day). Read this website thoroughly and you find all the information and where to apply for what.

If you want to settle, it's immigration from an extra-schengen country and you need a residence permit. Since getting a job from extra-schengen is next to impossible I think family reunification is the way, but you have to be married for that.

Re: salam!!!

late 14c., "western part" (of the heavens or earth), from Old French occident (12c.) or directly from Latin occidentem (nominative occidens) "western sky, sunset, part of the sky in which the sun sets," noun use of adjective meaning "setting," from present participle of occidere "fall down, go down" (see occasion (n.)).

It's a bit early to be on the gin, omtatsat.

Similar to German's poetic "Morgenland" for the East and "Abendland" for the West.

Not such a wacky idea. It is apparently common for Ethiopians to apply for refugee status as Eritreans since Eritreans cannot normally be deported.

i think the title is missing an 'i'... isn't it spelled "salami" ?
And the correct response is "Salami? I like 'em!".
