Re: Hello ! new in Bern

What do you define as reasonable? One man's reason is another man's extravagance! Look at Homegate or at Anzeiger Bern. Places around the hospital, Steigerhubel, Bümpliz, Bethlehem, Weissenbühl and even Liebefeld are still reasonable areas when it comes to rent, but it really depends what you are looking for. For short-term, you might be better off looking for a flat share.

Re: Hello ! new in Bern

Hi all,

I am a French girl living in Luxembourg for 3 years. The reason why I am joining this fantastic forum is that I will start a new job on 1 September in Burgdorf. I've not been to Bern city yet but believe it is were I would like to live.

I'll come to Bern around 17 August to look for a flat. I would be very happy to receive your tips

Many thx!

Hi Chlo

Look at homegate, anzeiger bern and some of the other online places to look for a flat in Bern. Will you be looking at a place on the 17th?

Re: Hello ! new in Bern

It's also called Immobern.http://immobern.home.ch/de/mieten/f/kanton-bern
The Anzeiger is the newspaper everyone gets in their post box every day, with all the official information in it (road works, public works notices etc..)

Almost right. They put Anzeiger Region Bern in every letterbox in Bern on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Some online resources for finding a flat are:

http://www.anzeiger.ch/

For rooms in a shared flat (WG = Wohngemeinschaft):

I've been here for 3 days so far and it is really beautiful - I especially loved the river!
