Welcome to Switzerland!
I am only here for 12 days now. Im still super new. However, I will share my thought for the time being. I really hope it helps.
St. Moritz - where I live, is a small town of only about 5000 people. So I was abit bored at first (I came out from BKK and Singapore - both bigger cities with more thing to do). However, thing gets better as I start to appreciate the beauty of nature here. Beautiful mountain and lake, fresh air (they are so proud to call it "champagne air" here). I do alot of walking and biking everyday. People in this town start to remember my face (not too hard though. cuz I think Im the only asian here
). Thing becomes smooth.
I will start my intensive German class in Chur (2 hours train from St.Moritz) from next Monday. Monday to Friday, 8:30-11:45. So my schedule is pretty much occupied on weekday.
St.Moritz is a very famous destination for skiing. So, I am very looking forward to the first snow.
Unfortunately, Winterthur is abit far from St.Moritz. I also dont know much about lifestyle there. However, I believe if you are open enough and appreciate the nature, Switzerland will not disappointed you.
Good luck with new life and hope to see you in St.Moritz soon
