New to the forum so greetings to all.

Hello all,

I am new to the forum and kind of went about things the wrong way by posting in one of the other sections first and then going back to introductions. My apologies for that.

I am a Swiss citizen from South Africa and am currently making plans to emigrate to Switzerland with my wife and two daughters.

I know that it is not going to be easy but this is the best thing I can do for my family and for my daughters futures.
My profession is as a mechanical fitter (hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes etc.) although I am currently employed as a maintenance planner.
I have already received so much advice from the members of this forum and it overwhelms me to experience the kind of support and helpfulness of the people here who give so freely.
As suggested by other members here, I took some time to read through posts in the complaints section. If those complaints are the bad side of Switzerland then I can not wait to relocate there, that is almost like everyday life in Africa.
Thanks again to all here and I look forward to many conversations(both good and bad) with all of you.
