Also new but not new

Hello,

I'm 28 and come from New York and I'm working as an architect. I've been in Switzerland for about three years, one of them I spent in Geneva and the rest where I currently live in neuchatel.

It looks as if it's over between me and my wife and we share a lot of friends and family so the moment was right to finally sign up to the forum. ( Been browsing it for years )

I have an okay network here but mostly swiss people... I'm looking for people to grab a coffee or beer with, play / watch sports ( I currently play football for the university de neuchatel) I'm into arts as well.

I'm also willing to travel a bit... I have the habit to go between geneva and neuchatel. Zurich and the Italian part is unfortunately too far.

If anybody's interested hit me up. (although I'm not really sure how that works here)

Welcome on board. I am into arts, we are not far..If you feel like organising a fieldtrip to a gallery, expo, museum or actually do art, I would be up for it. Check out our calendar function.

Hope you enjoy our community, feel free to share.

Re: Also new but not new

With pleasure, I just started taking figure drawing classes at the académie de meuron on Wednesday nights, it's a lot of fun. Keep me informed as well if anything interesting is coming up, it's difficult for me to find events here... Do you know of any good blogs or websites that cover the arts and music scene in Switzerland?

Re: Also new but not new

Have you been to visit 'La Maison Blanche' in La Chaux-de-Fonds yet, and some other Le Corbusier houses, like 'la Maison Turque' now owned by Ebel watches.

Will organise another even soon to visit a Museum near me, which you might really appreciate as an architect (Marini)- La Maison de l'Absinthe- an 18C master's houses made into a very modern Museum with a 'light well' in the centre. Perhaps visit Le Latenium Museum on the Lake Dwelling Celts near St Blaise- a very modern and interesting buidling too. My bil from the UK who is a 'big project' architect in London, really loved it.
